Where will you go?

 Introduction

You are living in Great Britain in 1750. You are the 8th of 12 children and your parents are encouraging you to immigrate to America for a better life.  To which colony will you go?

Quality of life varies throughout the New World. The geography, history, economy, government, social structure, and culture tell much about how your needs will be addressed. This project provides you with an opportunity to evaluate each of the thirteen colonies and decide in which one you would like to live.

Most of you will be working collaboratively with another member to produce a database for your colony. You may use your textbook, the libary, the internet, or other resources to obtain information. Then each of you will use your research to create a pop-up book illustrating selected information. Your products will be presented to the class. Students will then choose a colony to which they would like to immigrate and defend their choice in a power-written paragraph.
