Boys Basketball

Tryouts for the boys basketball team are held at the end of October each year. All boys MUST have a current physical on file with the office to participate in tryouts. The 7th and 8th grade teams play a schedule of nine regular season games each, as well as two tournaments a piece. The purpose of the junior high program is to give players a taste of competitive practices and games in order to prepare them for the sport at the high school level.

Wrestling
Mr. Lucas Wiester 742-3256

Willard Middle School Wrestling is open to Willard boys and girls in 7th and 8th grade and is designed to provide them with a basic wrestling knowledge in preparation for more formal wrestling programs in High School. While instructional in nature, we still compete in meets and tournaments with other wrestling programs from the area. No previous wrestling experience is necessary; all who come out will be on the team. Students are required to have a physical, proof of insurance, and a signed citizenship form. We focus on self-confidence, self-esteem, self-discipline, and hard work. If this sounds good to you, contact Coach Wiester with any questions.
