3.) After School
Tutoring: |
At
times curriculum can be academically challenging for
some students. As teachers, the success of the students is very
important to us. In order to help each student succeed, the Navy team
teachers will be available for after school
tutoring on Wednesdays or by appointment. This is
voluntary on the students' part, unless he/she needs extra instruction.
Also there is a new after school program called TIGER TEENS. Please
contact the office or your child's advisory teacher for more
information.
|
|
|
4.)
Conference Hours: |
The
Navy Team Conference Hours are from 9:35-10:10am. If you are needing a
conference for any reason, please email
myself at mrummel@willard.k12.mo.us, one of the Navy Team teachers,
or call the WMS office at 742-2588 and
schedule an appointment. If you are unable to
meet during our conference hours, please call and we will try and work
with you before or after school. |
|
|
5.) Assignment
Policy, Academic Honesty, and Classroom
Rules: |
1. Students will be held
responsible for filling out assignments in their agenda. (PARENTS need
to use this as a reference to keep up with their child's school work.)
Students will be required to have their agendas ALL year. As with
textbooks, they will be responsible for replacing lost or damaged
agendas.
2.
Students will receive a score for work turned in, complete or not.
3. When
a student is absent, he/she has three days for each day absent to
complete make-up work. The absent work is due on the third day.
4.
Students will be assigned to detention if they fall behind in their
work.
5.
Cheating (sharing answers, talking during testing) will result in all
parties receiving a zero for that work. More detailed information on
academic dishonesty is in your child's agenda on page 14.
6.
Students will come to class prepared by bringing the required materials
and completed homework to class each day.
7. Students
will listen and follow directions carefully.
8.
Students will be Respectful and
Responsible.
9. Both
students and parents have signed and agreed to the Technology Usage
Policy. If any of the
rules are not followed, the following consequences will be enforced and
in extreme cases, immediate and appropriate discipline:
a. 1st - Informal Warning:
One-on-one talk with the student.
b. 2nd - Formal Warning:
Conference with Advisory Teacher about the issue in question.
c. 3rd - Team Teacher Conference/Teacher/Student
Discussion:
d. 4th - Parent Contact
e. 5th - The Problem
Persists: Student is being sent to the Principal's office for
disciplinary action. This may include a Saturday school assignment or
out-of-school suspension. See Student's Agenda for details pgs 17-18.

|
a.) Lab Credit:
|
I will give a lab
participation grade. This grade is determined by
class participation,
behavior and composition books. I
will reference the discipline records and use it to help
determine what participation grade each student has earned.
|
|
|
b.)
Due Dates: |
Due
dates for classwork and projects are going to vary so students really
need to be working in class and paying attention to due dates. When a
project is
assigned, there is a due date given. It should be recorded in your
students' agenda. I will also be reminding
students daily of the due dates and give them a goal to reach each day
during a project. |
|
|
c.) Extreme
Hardships: |
I
understand that situations arise and that there are rare times of
hardship. If a situation like this occurs, please contact me by phone
or by email and let me know. Special arrangements can always be made
for homework and projects. It is very important to me that your student
succeeds and I am willing and able to accommodate the special needs
during hardships. |
